COVID-19 Update: Belmont Eye Center and Safety Measures

In accordance with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York State Ophthalmological Society and the American Medical Association, The Belmont Eye Center doctors and staff have implemented the following precautions to reduce any potential exposure to COVID-19.
Doctors and staff have all tested negative for Covid-19.
All staff are screened and temperature checked with a no-touch thermometer on a daily basis.
Masks and protective equipment will be worn by doctors and staff at all times.
Protective shields and screens on equipment and counters have been installed to create a barrier.
All patients and their assistants must wear their own masks and gloves in all areas of the facility at all times
Office equipment, exam rooms, and waiting area are thoroughly sanitized in between patients and all common touchpoints are sterilized throughout the day.
OFFICE POLICY REGARDING YOUR UPCOMING VISIT
Patients will be screened by phone prior to their visits to ensure that they have not experienced any cold or flu symptoms in the past 2 weeks and that they have not had any recent exposure or contact with Covid-19.
Patients are not permitted to bring visitors to the office unless medically necessary. If such assistance is required, staff must be informed in advance. All others must wait outside as social distancing measures will be in effect.
Patients will not be allowed in the office until their scheduled appointment time.
Patients will be temperature checked with a no-touch thermometer and screened upon entry. If patients fail the screening, patients will be instructed to call the office to reschedule.
5. All patients and their assistants must wear masks and gloves in all areas of the facility at all times.
The use of the restrooms and water fountain will not be permitted until further notice.
We have decreased the number of appointments and visits have also been streamlined to reduce the number of patients that will be in the office at any given time.
