CK Refractive Surgery in New York City

Radiofrequency NearVision CK (Conductive Keratoplasty) is used for the correction of presbyopia and low to moderate hyperopia (farsightedness). The treatment involves the application of radio energy outside the viewing periphery of the cornea. Designed as an improvement on its predecessor, LTK, NearVision CK has been described as a "rejunvenation procedure". In a program that addresses presbyopia as it continues to progress, treatments are typically spread in periods of 2 to 6 years. The radio frequency energy in CK tightens the eye's collagen to allow patients to focus at near and does not involve any cutting or removal of corneal tissue.
