Does Insurance Cover The Procedure?

New York City (NYC) LASIK Surgeon - Dr. Sandra Belmont

Fees and Insurance

One way we keep our fees within an acceptable range is by eliminating costly billing expenses. Thus, payment for office visits is requested at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept personal checks, MasterCard and VISA credit cards.

We will provide an itemized receipt to be attached to your insurance claim. We will file claims for Medicare patients as required by law.

Insurance Coverage

Some medical plans may cover the cost. However, most medical plans consider this an elective treatment and do not pay for the procedure. Ask us about affordable payment plans.

Prepaid health plans

As a dedicated NYC LASIK surgeon, Dr. Belmont participates in a few local HMO and PPO plans. Please ask us about your coverage. Some insurance plans may cover the cost of laser vision correction; however, most medical plans consider this an elective treatment and therefore do not pay for the procedure.
